Girls Who Fly Fish began as a small community of women casting lines together in Knoxville, Tennessee — and it’s quickly become something more. What started as Knox Girls Who Fly Fish has inspired a larger movement to bring women together through fly fishing, outdoor adventure, and conservation.
We’re here to create a space where women feel welcome to learn, explore, and connect — whether it’s your first time holding a fly rod or you’ve spent years on the water.
Our meetups, clinics, and retreats are designed to build skill and confidence while honoring the beauty of nature and the friendships that form along the way.

Girls Who Fly Fish was founded by Amy Snitko and Jayme Hanna, two friends who simply wanted to fish together and invite other women to join in the fun. What began as a small, free club in Knoxville, Tennessee has grown into a community celebrating women, water, and wild places.We’re here to make fly fishing feel approachable, inspiring, and connected — through local meetups, retreats, and our signature apparel that reflects the lifestyle we love.
